All of the pictures you see are from our trips back to Thu Duc (Vietnam), taken on our cellphone. MamaDo officially became a non-profit charity foundation in 2022. We saw a desperate need for help and we couldn’t wait.

Who is “Mama Do”?

MamaDo was a refugee originally from Saigon, Vietnam. She immigrated to the US in 1978 when she was only 8 years old with her parents and siblings. She is a working mother of 3 with her husband and family residing in California. MamaDo frequently travels for work managing audits worldwide. Beyond her professional career, she’s found a passion to help those in need, especially children and single mothers infected by HIV from her native country.

MamaDo was so touched from her first visit to Mai Am Mai Tam orphanage especially seeing this 3 months baby boy and his mother who was blinded from symptoms of HIV after giving birth. If she could adopt all of the orphans, she would. But instead, she wanted to contribute in a small way by reaching out each year traveling to her home town of Saigon making a difference in the lives of the most poor and vulnerable from Vietnamese society. MamaDo started a charity using her own funds while volunteering her time to bring awareness to Mai Am Mai Tam and their continued mission.
